"In September I closed a loan for a customer that was purchasing her mother’s home. The mother needed the care of assisted living, which was at best, a very difficult situation for the family. The entire family came in to meet with me.  The advice that I gave them was for the mother to provide a gift of equity to the daughter that wanted to purchase the home.  The applicant was thankfully able to qualify for the amount of loan necessary to fulfill the mother’s loan balance.
