- Home warranty: A home warranty plan covers repairs and replacements on systems and appliances within your home that fail due to normal wear and tear. The covered items must be in proper working order before the contract is entered into with the home warranty company.
- Home insurance: A home insurance policy covers the structure of your home, your personal belongings, and other structures on your property if damage or loss is caused by a covered peril such as fire, hurricanes, wind damage and others.
